UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA SOUTHEAST [THINGS HEAT UP]

One call was enough, Curtis.

Okay, you’re just gonna keep calling then? Alrighty. Guess I’m just going to have to put my foot down then.

And put my foot down I did…. Let’s just probable cause this thing and say that “ALLEGEDLY” he obviously doesn’t want to get caught doing what he’s doing. Too late for all that now. Frankly, that first phone call was all the proof I needed, but then he just kept going, and going, and going. But, you must know that within the hour– prior to these harassing serial phonecalls (approximately 30 minutes before), I had received yet another follow up email to my previous questions. Need a reminder? Just click here….

UAS Chancellor’s response to request for public speaking forum

UAS Chancellor’s Office (sent by klcampbell4@alaska.edu)

to me

Dear Mr. Trahan:

As Chancellor of the University of Alaska Southeast, I’m writing in response to your email of Tuesday, March 19, asking that UAS assist in scheduling a public forum in which you would speak on several topics and also officially announce your presidential campaign.

First, University of Alaska Board of Regents policy makes clear that the university does not limit or abridge any individual’s constitutional right to free speech. That said, under Alaska statutes, the university is not permitted to use its property or resources for partisan political purposes. That would include using our campus for announcement of a presidential campaign.

Because of this statute, UAS is not in a position to assist in scheduling the event that you propose. I encourage you to find other avenues for announcing your campaign and sharing your views publicly in the broader Juneau community.

With best regards,

Chancellor Caulfield
